Matthew Christian Gavris is an artist, philosopher, and Boston native. He paints, draws, works with wood, and produces music, among other creative pursuits. His artwork aims to bridge the material and spiritual worlds, giving raw form and life to the transcendent spirit that guides him. Matt’s goal is to give the viewer a glimpse into his conception of the divine. Through reorganizing and rediscovering ancient shapes, patterns, tones, and textures into our world, Matt hopes to replenish our understanding of beauty and divinity, while also embracing the transcendent themes that have shaped our world.
